Press Association. Wellington, April 2. The Wellington Provincial Tennis Championship Meeting was continued to-day. In tho Men's Championship Singles, second round, Wallace beat Smythe, 6-1 8-6; Cox beat Watkins, 6-2, 6-2; Cooke beat Hawkins, 7-5, 2-6, 6-3. In the third round Wallace beat Ebbett, retired; Cooke beat Greene, 6-4, 6-4. Ladies’ Championship Singles, semifinal: Miss Nunneily beat Miss Ward, 6-0, 6-1.

Ladies’ Championship Doubles: Misses Powdrell and Travers beat Misses Ward and AYilliams, Misses Nimneley and Well-wood beat Mrs Grady and Miss Eoberfcson.

Mens’ Championship Doubles : Cox and Fisher beat Ollivier and Whyte-Parsons, 6-0, 0-1.

Combined Championship Doubles: Miss Nunneley and Adams won from Mrs Wag and Hawkins by default. The following won sets in the handicaps;—Ladies’ Handicap Doubles: Misses Davis and A. Williams. Combined Handicap Doubles: Miss Wellwood and Ebbett, Miss Travers and Brown, Mrs Grady and Powell, Miss Jackson and Smythe. Men’s Handicap Doubles; Ebbett and Adams and Quinnoll and Howe, Later. The Wellington Provincial Lawn Tennis Tournament was concluded to-day, all teams being finished with the exception of the Combined Championship Doubles, the finals of which will be decided to-morrow morning, Results of to-day’s play are as follows

Finals Men’s Championship Singles; Cox beat Laishley, 6-3, 0-4. Ladies’ Championship Singles: Miss Nunneley beat Miss Wellwood, 6-1, 6-3. Ladies’ Championship Doubles: Misses Powdrell and Travers beat Misses Nunneley and Wellwood, 4-6, 0.3, 6.3. Men’s Handicap Singles, first grade ; H. Brown (8) beat liedward (18), 00-50. Men’s Handicap Doubles: Wallace and Dickie (scratch) beat Ebbett and Adams (15), 70-03. Ladies’Handicap Doubles: Misses Davis and Williams (30) beat Misses Ward and E. Williams (owe 5), 50-47. Combined Handicap Doubles: Miss Travers and Brown (3) beat Miss Williams and Clarke, 50-48. In the morning the winners of the semifinal of Combined Championship Doubles between Miss Ward and Cox and Miss Travers and Brown have to meet Miss Nunneley and Adams in the final. Smytho and Sloman have to meet Cox and Fisher in the final of the Men’s Championship Doubles. Invercargill, April 2. The tennis tournament concluded to

day in fine weather. 11. S. Brown (Dunedin) won the championship singles of Otago, and, with his brother, S. N. Brown, won the champion doubles. The men’s handicap singles was won by Salmond (Dunedin), and the handicap doubles by Brickell and Moore (Dunedin), combined doubles by S. T. Brown and Miss Hislop, and ladies’ handicap doubles V: yjissos Hislop and Jackson, all of hwabiin.
