ACCIDENTS AND FATALITIES.

A man was seen last evening to fall In. the street near .the .Carlton Hotel, Hast* ings, a£d a bystander, assuming; that fho, man was intoxicated, picked him t/p and. laid him against the wall. Later a con* stable seeing the man lying on the footpath and also fancying him to be drank, took him in charge. He was watched by the police until 1 a.m. when seeing no change in his condition, a doctor was sent for and on his recommendation the man was sent to the Napier hospital where ho died on Monday. From a slip of paper found in the pockets of the deceased it it supposed that his name is G. Bead. Wellinotox, April Tim body of a man, about 40 years of ago, was fpnud floating in tho harbour near Glasgow wharf this morning. In one of his pockets was a letter dated Greenock, Scotland, Kith January, addressed to Daniel McKay, Post Office, Wellington, A man named John McKay has been missing from tiro scow Rangier since 86th March,
