The msetmg was held on Saturday in a paddock kindly lent for the purpose by Messrs Russell Bros. There was a fairly good attendance of settlers and their families. The conduct of tho sports was very good indeed, and the’ committee deserve ;ho thanks of tho community for.the day’s enjoyment provided. Not tho least of tho contributors was the Arhhurst Brass Band under tho conductorship of Mr J. P. Cnrreen. There wes plenty of competition in nearly all the events, even in the lauifs’ races, which were among the more popular.
