Grain and Seed
Messrs Kaye & Carter, Christchurch report under date March 13th : Wheat : Milling Tuscan 3s 4d to 3s sd, Pearl 3s 4d to 3s od, Hunters' 3s 3id to 3s 4d, fowl 3s 2d to 3s 3d, f.o.b.'s.e., Lyttelton. Milling wheat market still rules firm, and the demand for pearl continues. Fowl wheat is scarce and in good demand. Oats: A Garton 2s lOd to 2s 10id, B 2s to 2s lOd, Sparrowbills 2s B',d to 2s lOd, Danish 2s BAd to 2s Duns 2s lOd to 2s lid, f.0.b.5.i., Lyttelton. Demand both locally and for shipment is very keen. Potatoes.—Table £4 10s to £5, f.0.b., g.i. Market well supplied.
