' Mr Bent will leave for London next week to arrange a number of financial matters, initiate an immigration policy, and investigate the Agency-General. Mr Davies, Attorney-General, will be Acting-Premier. The Senate elections were the quietest in the history of the State, and a triumph for sitting members. Tho parties on the present figures are practically as tney were. Labour lost the Geelong, Ballarat and West Jikajika seats, but gained Bendigo and East Eagelhawk, and Mr Prendergast was returned for North Melbourne. One of tho incidents of the electione was the defeat of Mr Judkins for Brunswick, Anstcy (Labour) winning by a majority of over 700. Tho approximate figures show the positions as follows; Ministerial 51, Labour or Opposition 14.
