Replying to a deputation which urged the Government to inaugurate a scheme for agricultural education iu the Auckland district, Mr Powlds said ho was in .sympathy with any reasonable proposal to ox-, tend the benefits of agricultural education. Mr McNab had also taken a keen interest iu the subject,

and whatever was done should be done by the co-operatiou of the two Departments to prevent overlapping. He would confer with Mr McNab, and see what could be done. Tiro Government was already spending a lot of money on education.
