If the Mayor could formulate a scheme whereby the junction could be brought within less than a half a mile from the centre of Marton, it might find
"jur Wiui me ratepayers of the borough and the Railway Department. If such- a scheme was carried put thope would be no need for'Vo many stations'.' Aii arrangement of tills sort would be a real benefit to Marton, and it would pay the ratepayers to contribute £IO,OOO to the Railway Department towards the cost.—l am, etc. A RATEPAYER (No. 1). .
