The Times’ Paris correspondent says that Germany has latterly made strenuous exertions to establish a policy of rapprochement with Denmark in the hope of neutralising the Danish Straits and making the Baltic a mare clausum. He adds that Germany is steadily developing her influence in Sweden and Norway, and will soon be preponderant in the Baltic.
