A deputation asked Mr O’Conor, acting-Premier, to secure the English art collection at tho Christchurch Exhibition for the exhibition in Sydney. Mr O’Conor, in promising to submit the request to Mr Garruthers, pointed out that numbers of the pictures had already been sold, and raised tho question whether an arts aud crafts°collection was wanted. The deputation wauted the whole collection, but, if that was not possible, a judicious selection would suffice.
