Tho President of tho Life Underwriters Society of Now York states that the value" of American life insurance policies decreased £80,000,000 in 1906 owing to the revolutions as to the methods of some companies. London, February 28. Tho Canadian Royal Commission on Life Insurance Companies sevofely condemns tho investment of funds in speculative stock, extravagant management. and abnormal expenditure to secure business and severely comments ou unauthorised investment in fraternal societies, tho stability of which ought to bo legislatively assured. It recommends more frequent distribution of surpluses and rigid legal restriction ou investments.
