SOUTH AFRICAN EXHIBITION.
Per Press Association. —Copyright. London, February 25. King Edward, in his speech at the South African Exhibition, said : “ It is my strong and earnest desire that South Africa advance in prosperity, and relying on the cordial co-operation of all my subjects, I view with confidence the future of this great interesting and important part of my dominions. The Exhibition is evidence that, rich as is South Africa in gold and diamonds, it possesses still more permanent sources of prosperity in the agricultural capacities of the sub-Continent. The common action of the Government is additional proof that the essential unity of South Africa is in process of realisation, and which is in every sense a subject near to my heart.”
