Por Press Association. . ■ Auctilakd, February 21. A volunteer named John Bergin, 25 years of age, accidentally shot himself dead at the camp of No 8 Garrison Corps, at Port Cautlcy. He was in the act of cleaning hia rifle, and was evidently not aware hat it was loaded. Wellington, February 33. A civil engineer, named E. Buizenao shot himself with a revolver at his lodgings this morning. Death was instantaneous. Deceased, who was about 60, complained at the breakfast table that his fellow lodgers made fun of him and then went to his room and shot himself. The body of a man, name unknown, was found in the harbour to-day. It had evidently been in the water for some time. Haweba, February 22. William Cody, aged 38, committed suicide at Otakeho by cutting his throat. A verdict of unsound mind was returned. Pakiatpa, February 22. Martin.Madigan, of Ormondville, was thrown out a trap while returning from Woodville races, his neck being dislocated, death ensuing in about 10 hours later.
