It was reported that £i»ll tho insurance companies declined to accept risks covering a master baker from loss in the case of dishonesty of men on delivery carts. Concerning the practice of undercutters mi tho trade, condemnatory remarks were made, and it was agreed that a strong endeavour should bo made to persuade non-unionists to no longer stand out. Tho apprenticeship question is now being discussed. Mr Dustin (Wanganui) suggested that if they cannot get baking taught in the technical schools prizes should be offered for essays on subjects such as fermentation, etc.
