Dunedin Cup, li-milea. —Cross Battery pr Stepdancer. Stewards’ Welter, seven futlojigs.-r=: Buccdouch or Do Witte, Trial Plate, six furlongs,—Ard Eeigli or Flavour. Berwick Hack, five furlongs.—The Seer or Curiosity. Publican’s Handicap, six furlongs.— Replete or Grandstand. Beresina (Stepniak—Ambush), the winner of the Oakloigh Plate at Melbourne on Saturday, started at the Canterbury ; J.C. Metropolitan Meeting in 1905, running unplaced in the Maiden Plato, second tp T Medallist in the Ashley Handicap, aiid second to Sir Tristram in the Randolph Handicap, She also started at the Foxton Meeting in January, 1906, and was beaten by Silver Shell over five furlongs in lminssac. Beresina was bred by Mr G. G. Stead, and after the C.J.C. Metropolitan Meeting was sold to Messrs Kofctleford and Price. C. Jenkins was easily the most successful rider at fhe Egmont Meeting. On the second day he rode Kitchenmaid, Kuku and Moscow to victory, and was on Highclen when he ran second, making five winning mounts at the meeting.
