At Addington live stock markets today there were large entries of stock, and a numerous attendance of buyers. Prime fat cattle, wethers and lambs were firmer and backward-conditioned fat sheep and lambs, as well ns store sheep, wore all easier, in consequence of the shortness or ■feed. Pigs sold well, and there_ was a bettor demand for dairy cows, while store cattle were in very little demand. Tbs warding of store sheep was a largo one, and was made up principally of lambs and wethers, with a few lots of ewes. 'Wethers and Lambs which were at all forward sold fairly well, but there was a dragging sale at low prices for backward sorts, ihere was again a heavy yarding of fat lambs, totalling 8659, a fair proportion being of good to prime quality, and these sold firmly at last week’s rates, while backward sorts shelved a further decline, and many lines were bought by graziei’a. Tegs made 17s to Od, ordinary freezers 13s to 16s Gd, an;’ . ..finished Ss Gd. The entry of fat sheep was larger tnijn the week before, and was composed principally of ewes. All linos of coves and wethers fit for freezing sold well under good competition, but backward wellicr.s, some of which were- only ordinary stores and aged ewes in low condition, showed a. further decline. The range of prices was: —Prime wethers 17s 6dto2ls fid, light nnd ‘unfinished 12s Gd to 16s Od, prime •ewes 14s Gd to X7s §d, medium 11s to 13s fid, aged 6s Gd to 10s Gd, merino wethers 12s 7d. The yarding of fat cattle totalled Sl3, the quality being mostly good to prime, and beat beer was rather firmer. Steers brought .£6 to £ll, heifers £4 17s fid to £6 17s, and cows £4 2s Gd, equal to 21s to 24s for prime and 18s to 20s for ■medium per lOOlbs, Veal calves soldat -3s to 355, and up to 40s, according to size and quality. Beyond a few lines of steers, -there were only odd lots cattle offered, and they met with a dull demand. Tca.rlings made IG.-, 15 to 18-months 23s to 35a, 2-year steers £2 us to £2 15s, 3 and 4-year £5 10s, dry cow s 17s Gd to £3. There was a better sale for dairy cows, though the entry was composed of moderate sorts, and tho Lost price was £7 10s. Pigs of all classes were entered in largo numbers, and they sold well. Baconers made 40s to 45s and up to 63s for heavy weights, equal to 4jd per lb, porkers 30s to 38s Cd, equal to 44 J and od per lb; large stores 25s to 325, medium 18s to 245, weaners 12s to 13s.

Messrs Abraham and V' report:—Wo had a full yarning or both sheep and cattle at our liuntxrviiio k.ilo job. Tuesday, 12th inst. A heavy yarding .of bullocks and steers me/ with ready ;salo. Sireep yarded were chiefly lambs of good quality. All bines were sold with -exception of a pen ot good breeding ewes ■which did not reaSh vendor’s reserve. The attendance was large and bidding brisk throughout. Quotations;—Cattle ; Forward bullocks A 5 lOs to .15 los, .3year steers £3 10s to £4 2s Ca, -Si-ycar steers £3 3s, springing heifers £3 1 la, <empty heifers 255, IS-montbs cattle 36s to 38s. Sheep: Lambs 9s to 10s, culls 4sTod to 7s 6d, f m. ewes Os Gd to 13s Gd, culls 7s 6cl, fat ewos 12s 70, 2-th wethers 14s Gd, Pigs: Porkers 22s to 275.
