ANGLO-JAPANESE ALLIANCE.

At the Anglo-Japanese Alliance banquet at Tokio, Viscount Hayashi said the alliance strengthened with the growing sense of friendship between the two nations. Mr Lowfcher, Councillor to the Embassy, said that King Edward’s present' advisers cordially endorsed the Alliance and were striving faithfully to execute its stipulations in accordance with the desire of the whole of Britain. Prince Fushimi has left Tokio on a mission of friendship to England.
