Tho King and Queen opened Parliament in state. Tho weather was wet and cold.
A Socialist Countess
Tho Countess of Warwick contributed £ls to to-day’s unemployed demonstration in Hyde Park on the occasion of the opening of Parliament. She sent a remarkable letter to Jack Williams, in which she said : “I returned the Peeress’ ticket for the opening ceremony when I beard of your march How could I drive through the streets in satins and face the unemployed ?”
By-election. Sir-Bobert Pullar has been elected unopposed for Perth.
