CLEARING SALE AT HEATON PARK.
Messrs Freeman F. Jackson £ Co. held a most successful sale at the above estate yesterday, an exceptionally large and representative attendance of buyers being present. The bidding throughout the day was very spirited, especially for all Lincoln stud flock, and the manager, Mr 11. Wilson, expressed himself as being well pleased with the prices obtained. The cattle, horses and furniture were sold first, and realised good market values. The fresh full-mouth rams were the first of the Stud flock offered, and they brought from 4J to Bgs, being distributed amongst breeders all over the province. 47 2 tooth rams made an average of 4Ags, and 100 lamb rams brought from 1A to 3gs ; best pen of ewe lambs made 3Ags, others If to2jgs.
A nice lot of 3 tooth stud ewes were purchased by Mr B. P. Lethbridge at 4igs.
Mr L. 6. Brennan, of Pafea, took 25 4 and 6 tooth owes at 4Ags. Mr A. Dalziel, of Huntcrvillc, secured one pen of 45 stud owes at 31gs, and another pen of 65 at 3Ags.
Other full-mouth stud ewes made from 2 to 3fgs, and were well distributed among smaller buyers. Other lines brought good prices. Quotations —2 tooth wethers 13s 6d, woolly lambs 10s Bd, 2 tooth awes 15s Bd, fat wetherslds Id, cull lambs 4« Id, mixed aged Lincoln ewes 11s lOd to 13s 9d, store ewes 8s 6d.
