THEFT BY SOLICITOR.
Per Press Association Christchurch, January 22. Henry Francis, solicitor, pleaded guilty in the Magistrate’s Court to-day to six charges of theft, amounting to .£775. Tho money had been placed in Francis’ hands for investment, and while assuring his clients that investments were made, and himself regularly paying tho interest, ho had appropriated the money to bis own use. Ho was remanded to tho Supremo Court for si ntenco.
