Mr McNab yisitcd Cheviot for the first time yesterday and unveiled a memorial to Mr Sodden in the afternoon and spoke on the Land Bill at night. Ho had an enthusiastic reception, and a strong resolution was carried with vigorous applause endorsing the Land Bill, and urging Government to continue the progressive policy of Mr Ballance. Mr McNab expressed himself immensely pleased with the pronounced prosperity of the settlement.
