THE FARMERS’ UNION.
Views on the Land Bill
Per Press Association;
Wellington, January 17,
The Farmers' Union is taking steps to place its views on the Land Bill before the farming community. With this week’s issue of the Farmers’ Union Advocate, the official organ of the Union, is a supplement dealing exhaustively with Mr McNab’s proposals. The views of loading bankers and commercial men are given, together with those of small farmers and others. It is contended that the Bill, if passed in its present form, will have a disastrous effect upon the financial as well as upon the farming interests of the colony.
