The attendance was above the average, and bidding was spirited. All lots, except bad-conditioned calfskins and hides, sold at advanced rates. He said that hides offered at our Wanganui sale were shown more attractively than in any other selling centre of the (North Island, and that such care and attention on the part of the soiling brokers undoubtedly elicited the best offers they were in a position to make for produce offered for sale.
