PRIMITIVE METHODIST CONFERENCE.
Per Press Association. I New Plymouth, January 10. I The fourth annual conference of the I Primitive Methodist Church of New Zealand opened this morning, seventyoi.rht d- legates answering to the roll-call. Elections resulted as follows President, Rev C. E. Ward (Wellington); VicePresident, Mr G. Huffey (Geraldine); secretary, Kev B. Dudley (Greendale). The Hev Pybus, late delegate to the English conference, reported that all business on behalf of the New Zealand conference had been passed. , At a musical evening by the United Churches to-night the president was inducted. The Rev. Ward’s father preached the first Primitive Methodist sermon in Taranaki, in the open-air, over sixty years
ago. The first draft of stations will be completed to-morrow.
