Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd., held there weekly sale in Palmerston on Thursday, 10th January, when a small yarding of sheep and a fair yarding of cattle came forward. Bidding was brisk for f at sheep and young cattle. One or two lines of grown bullocks ■ware passed iu at auction, but wore disposed of immediately after the sale. Quotations .Shorn fat- lambs 12-', fat ewes 18s, 3 and 1-year bullocks £1 1,9 s to £5 2?, 2-i-ysar steers £3 6s 6d, dry cows £2 to £2 10s, empty 2 year heifers £1 13s 6d. Messrs Gorton find Sons report a fair sale at Palmerston. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Company report a small yarding of sheep and cattle at Palmerston sale yesterday, Prices were easier than last week. Quotations —Shorn lambs 8s 7d. Cattle; — Yearling steers 365, ISmos steers £2 4s, 21-yr steers £3 9s, £3 10s, Syr ste.ers £4 10s fid, store cows 35s to £2 os. Abraham and William?, Ltd., report At Palmerston on Thursday we had a fair entry of stock. Ail the sheep entered changed hands at satisfactory prices. Cattle were not in great demand owing to the continued dry weather, but the greater portion were disposed of. Forward bullocks £6 6s, 21 year Polled Angus steers £4 10s, 2 year steers £3 to £3 Ss, springing heifers £3 12s, cows and calves £2 -5s to £2 10s, store cows 20s to 355, 2 tooth wethers 13s to 14s Od, forward shorn lambs 9s 3d, small shorn lambs 6s lid.
