LIGHT FOR NAPIER.

I’er Press Association. Napier, January 10. Tho Borough Council had a proposal submitted to them some time ago by Messrs Roberts and Stokes, of Auckland, to establish electric power for lighting and tram service, and asking for certain concessions. The Council appeared favorably disposed towards tho scheme. But, at their meeting last evening, throe other applications wore received, asking that the applicants ho given an opportunity to submit similar proposals. The matter has therefore been adjourned for further consideration, and. the Council, in tho meantime will endeavour to ascertain the terms which have been mado clsowhoro with regard to similar proposals.
