Cosmopolitans v. Drapers
A match was played between the above at Marten yesterday, and after an enjoyable game resulted in a win for the Cosmopolitan Club by 92 runs. The Drapers made 32 in their first innings, A. Funston being top scorer with 10. S. J, Gibbons took 4 wickets for 6 runs, 0. Gibbons 3 for 9, D. Henderson 4 for 10, and B. Hook 0 for 4. The Cosmopolitans compiled 68, the double figures being C. Moore 13, TV. "Ward (uot out) 12, A Hook 10. Bowling : Latham 3 for 21, Little 2 for 15, Jolly 1 for 13, Minifie 2 for 20. In their second innings the Drapers made 55, the chief scorers being Minifie, Latham and Little, who each made 12 runs. S. J. Gibbons took 4 wickets for 14, C. Gibbons 2 for 11, D. Henderson 2 for 12, C. Moore 1 for 14. The second innings of the Cosmopolitans produced 111 rims. C. Moore 54, B. Hook 20, Lev. Father Molloy 16 being the principal batsmen. Bowling :E. Jolly 4 for 16, W. Little 3 for 27, Latham 1 for 36, and Woolley 0 for 15.
The following team have been selected to play a match in the Manawatu fixtures against Terraco End on the Oval, Victoria Park, Foildiug, on Saturday nest, commencing at 2.30.—C. L. Mason (Capt.),!A.
