THE WRECKED ELVERLAND.

(Per Press Association)

Auckland, January 7. The shipwrecked crew of the foundered barquentino Elverland arrived from the Three Kings to-day by the Apauui. They report having lost everything, and eked out their few stores with sea birds and birds’ eggs. They confirm the previous report that the vessel foundered some distance off the Kings, and as the rudder was unshipped it is believed she struck one of the pinnacles off the Kings.
