It is stated on the authority of missionaries in (ho Pacific Islands that Britain and France have completed negotiations whereby France cedes Tahiti to Britain in consideration for certain territorial concessions in Burrnali or Further India. Mr Dcakin states that lie has received no communication in reference to the matter.
