CLEARING SALE.
Messrs Dalgety & Co., Ltd., held a successful sale on account of Messrs Jefferson Bros, on their estate at Tutaenui, Marton, on Friday. Bidding was spirited, and good prices were the order of the day. There was a record attendance of local and outside buyers. All stock was put up without reserve and realised top market prices. Wo quote—-4-tooth fat and forward wethers 15s lOd, 2-tooth wethers 15 s, 4-tooth ewes 2ls 7d, 2-tooth ewes 17s Id, fat ewes 13s 7d to 16s, aged ewes 9s 3d, ewes and lambs (all counted) 8s 2d to 10s, aged rams 2,3, 51, 11 and 12 guineas, ram lambs 2gns. Cattle ; Fat and forward bullocks £7 6s, 2-year steers £4 7s, yearling steers £3, cows and calves £4 10s, fat and forward cows £2 16s, 2year heifers £2 2s 6d, yearling heifers £1 17s.
