GERMANY’S POLITICAL TROUBLES.
A Menacing Reference
Per Press Association.—By Electric Telegraph.—Copyright. Bebmn, Yesterday. Count von Bulow, the Gorman Imperial Ohanoellqr, in an open letter addressed to the Imperial Anti-Socialist Democratic Union, states that although the elections hre unlikely to result in the return of a great united Liberal party able to take the Centre’s plaoe, yet the Bight, National Liberals and other fteisennige parties might gain enough to form a majority on occasions. He added that social democracy constituted a real danger to the State. Robespierre, the Leveller * was inevitably followed by Boar parfce’s sword, which freed France. No one in Germany desired 'the initiation of a personal regime- ‘Still less, he asserted, does the rgreat majority desire a party re/jime. Every defeat inflicted on the f social Democracy should be a warni’ag to Socialists to moderate their- blind arrogance.
Von Bul.ow’a menacing reference to Bonaparte’s sword is inte rprated at Berlin to imply that tha Kaiser will resort to a military cou p d’etat if the Socialists are victoriovis at the impending elections.
The rivalries and di ssentiona within the Liberal groups contrast strikingly with the solidarity of the Centro and Social Democratic groups.
