MAORI- REMANDED. ' 0 At the Magistrate's Court last Thursday,, before Mr. VV. R McKear S.M., a Maori named Ngahura luaru Pukeroa, of Auckland, was charged with stealing, on. April 11th, 1920, r cheque book valued at 4s from the Papakura railway station. Sergeant Cowan stated that accused had been arrested at Wanganui a few days ago, and as several charges of false pretences were pending, he asked that he be reminded for seven days. The request was granted.
