BOWLING AT WELLINGTON.

What with the largest bowling ,j tournament in progress and the races, Wellington is having a very busy i time. Jury’s (Karangahake) win has been very popular. This is the second rime in three years that Karangahake, a club of only about 20 members, have annexed this coveted trophy. It is a fine performance, and the Auckland clubs are delighted. Of Auckland clubs Remuera entered four teams and all four teams won their respective sections and qualified for intersectional play, a very creditable performance when the record entry of teams for the Dominion is considered. J. Wooler’s team won the section A outright with seven wins end with one loss only to V. Langsford of West End. The teams were level on the 25th head, an extra head was played and Langsford scored one lon a close measure. Section A was j considered to be the strongest secI tion. with such redoubtable players I as Nash, Jury, Langsford and Porj Leous. J. Wooler defeated Jury in j the opening game of the tournament j and Jury was again defeated by : Blackwood, of Greymoutb, and with |(i wins and 2 losses he thus just qualified for inter-section play. Wooler's Remuera team played 13 games, winning 10 and losing 2” games' rnly by the narrow margin of •_ point ami one game by 3 points. Mr L. S. Pegier, of Manurevva, was a member of Woofer's Remuera rink, and this player leaves next month with the Dominion representatives of 32 players chosen to represent New' Zealand in the United Kingdom. The party leave Sydney in March, playing at Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, "Colombo, Marseilles and other ports cn route to England.
