STRAND PICTURES. TO-MORROW (SATURDAY) NIGHT. For . their first five-reel comedy feature, Eddie Lyons and Lee Moran have taken “Everything But the Truth,” a popular magazine story by Edgar Franklin* and adapted it to suit their brezy personalities and snappy methods. It is one of the laughing hits of the year, ft will bo shown at the Strand Theatre tomorrow night. It (is a delicate matter to use the actions of an, insane person as the basis for film humpi>and have the humor real and inoffensive, according to Eddie Lyons and Lee Moran, the team of fun-makers. The two Universal Stars, however, handle an Insanity very The plot is woven around the trying experiences of a young man and his neighbour’s wife, who are held prisoners all night in a deserted farm house by a former doctor who has escaped from a lunatic asylum. Thestory of their detention jp so improbable that they are afraid to tell it to the frantic husband when they escape the next morning. They tell him everything but the truth in attempting to explain their absence. An educated rooster, and an equally well-tnf.jued hen figure in tine of the comedy scenes /in “Everything But the Truth.” Don’t miss this picture. See it to-morrow night and have a good laugh. ODDFELLOWS’ HALL PICTURES. TO-MORROW NIGHT. The William Fox extravaganza, entitled “Fan Fan,” will be shown as above to-morrow night. On Wednesday next there will be no pictures. WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 26th, A STRONG MELODRAMA. One of the strongest photo-plays ever produced is “Sporting Life,” the magnificent sporting offering of Maurice Tourneur, the famous film director, which wjl! be shown at the Oddfellows’ Hajl on Wednesday, January 2Gth. It is a splendid picturlsation of a famous Drury Lane melodrama, there is not a dull moment through; out the act. The story is heart appealing, and the caste is a carefully selected one.
