CHAUTAUQUA.

SEASON OPENS ON FRIDAY, The Pukekohe Chatauqua season opens on Friday next. The afternoon’s programme will consist of an entertainment provided by the Parnell’s, who are clever musicians, and a lecture entitled “My Life in the Orient and the Occident,.” by Miss Sumayeh Attiyeh, a brlliant young Syrian woman. The evening s performance will be “Music and Fun by the Parnells, and a lecture entitled “Syrian Life and Customs,' by Miss, Attiyeh. At the evening’s performance the formal opening of the Lhautaqua season will take place. During the season some sp*endid entertainments and lectures aieraised, and everyone should secure a season ticket and make a point ol missing none of them.
