GIG OVERTURNED*

A nasty accident happene I at Buckland last evening. It appears that Mr. and Mrs. A. J. Melville and their two children, well-known residents of Buckland, were going home from the railway stati.n in their gig, and when a short past the Buckland casein factory, the horse dropped dead. The occupants of the vehicle were all heavily tl rown on to the road, all escaping severe injury except Mr. Melville's littk; son, who, unfortunately, was rather ! >adly injured. The little fello%v was >aken heme, and medical aid summoned, ard this morning he was removed t" the Auckland Hospital. The other occupants of the trap suffered from severe bruises and shock. The many residents of Buckland wish the little fellow a speed\ recovery.
