THE AYRSHIRE COW.
One of the most successful breeders) vi the Ayrshires in the Wairarapa is Mr. C. B. Morgan, whose farm is close by the river, and within a few miles of Woodvillc. He is a careful and energetic young farmer, rod one who believes in the semi-of-ficial lest as the opportunity to prove to his fellow-dairymen the great dairying qualities of his herd, 'ihose cows tested up to the present include Ellesmcre Lass, a very fine cow which whs tested both as a two and three-year-old, and averaged for the two years :j58,2Ji0. of fat. Then followed Sprightly IN of Haydowns with a record of 9382.41b cf milk and 459.641b. of fat in a period of 344 days. This cow had an average test for the year of 4.8 per cent.
