DISTRICT NEWS.

MANUREWA.

SUCCESSFUL FLOWER SERVICE-! A very successful children's flower service was held in the Public Hall on Sunday, November 28, in connexion with the Show Society. The Rev. P. Smallfield and Mr. M. D. King conducted the service, giving appropriate addresses for the special occasion. There was a large gathering of children and parents. Many of the children brought flowers, and through the kind offices of Mrs. H. Wood these were afterwards distributed amongst sick folk in the district, who very much appreciated the kindly thoughtfulness shown.
