OBITUARY.
TME LATE MR. H, GEORGE. The funeral of the late Mr. Harry George took place at Pukekohe on Wednesday afternoon, and was largely :• I tended. A short service was conducted at St. Andrew's Church ami at the graveside by the Rev. J. P. Cowic, after which the Manchester Unity of Oddfellows' Lodge performed the Lodge's burial ceremony. Deceased was a member of an English Lodge of Oddfellows. The Army was represented by Lieutenant A. R. Hatt. At one time deceased belonged Lo the British Regular Army, and during the South African War was despatched from Birmingham with the Regular Army to take part in the war. The pall-bearers were deceased's i'ellow-eari ier.«. consisting of Messrs. R. Hill, B. Hart. M. Brown, lield. J. Hogan, and A. Allingham. Floral tributes were numerous, including wreaths from personal friends, business people, the local carriers and public bodies. Among those present were Messrs. W. Munro, of Auckland, and C. K. | Lawrie, of Pukekohe, executors of the | estate. j We understand deceased has one or two relatives in the Old Country. I
