Stembridge, managing director, briefly acknowledged the shareholders' efforts in making' the lirst sale a success. refreshments were provided. Some of the pi ices realised were:— Weancrs Ills to £2 ss. slips ':2 12s to £3 4s. baconcrs £5 2s I'd tn to 10s. I'ony £5 10s, gigs £lO to £2l. A' huge quantity of sundries were disposed of at satisfactory prices, after which an adjournment was made to the mart, where a sale of.fruit, poultry, produce, furniture and sundries reached satisfactory prices. _____ ?
