FRANKLIN COUNTY ELECTIONS.
THE RESULTS. Considerable interest was taken in the Franklin cgunty elections on Wed' nesday. Or. T. W. Woods _was re elected by a substantial majority foi the Pukekohe West Riding, while Cr. Jas. Keith was defeated by a singlt vote for the Mercer seat. Messrs. H. 0. Mellsop (Awhitu), "J. R, Lowrj (Drury), G. W. Heald (Hunua). Johr' Dean (Mercer), E. C. Cuff (Mauku) and benjamin Charles (Karaka) are* the new members of the council. Crs: W. Claud Motion (Waipipi), Hy. Wil ; cox (Pukekohe East), T. W/. Wood? (Pukekohe West), R. T. Reid (Waiuku) were .members of the previous council. The results are as follows:
