Woods mentioned that only £250 on iccount had been allotted for the work on the Puni to Waikato River toad, on a £1 for £1 basis. This ioad. e stated, was the one leading 10 the Puni soldiers' settlements. He 1 nought that as the work was one of .reat that the whole of the money required—£6oo shou ; J be made available for expenditure, so that when the work was commenced it could be completed and a good job made. On his motion it was decided to apply to the Minister for Public Works to have the full amount made available.
