HUNT CLUB BALL.
AT RAMARAMA.
I AN UNQUALIFIED SUCCESS
("Times" Correspondent.) The annual Hunt Club Ball, which ook place on Friday evening, Octo>ei 29, was an unqualified success, lie attendance showing the popularty of these functions with the pubic. The hall was taxed to its utnost, and showed the necessity of it jeing enlarged before another year, fhe decorations were carried out in likau palms and Arum lilies, while jaskets of asparagus fern, and Arum ilies were suspended from the ceilng. The supper, which was set out n a huge marquee adjoining the hall, ,vas a credit to the ladies' committee and helpers, consisting of Mes:lames West, Barker, Clark, Fox, Dale. Sharp, Walton and Newson, Misses Burfoot, Brewer, Cummins, ColeBaker, Homewood, Wright (2), vVootten and Fleming. Two long taol&s to seat 72 at a sitting were laden with works of art in the shape of toothsome delicacies, and prettily decorated with bowls and vases of crimson Seibera and gaillardias. Mr. West, the secretary of the local club, was responsible for the arrangements, and to he and his committees and assistants the credit is due JL'ur the success of the gathering. The music, which was everything.'that'could be desired, was supplied by Messrs. Barker (piano), Broun (violin), and Hindman (cornet).
