NOVEMBER 10. PROBABLE CANDIDATES. ' The following' are probable cundi'lates for the Franklin County election, which takes place on November 10: Pukekohe East.- Mr. H. Wilcox. Pukekohe West.—Mr. T. Woods. Mauku.—Messrs. E. C. Cuff and H. Dell. Karaka.- Mr. Ben Charles. Hunua.-Messrs. G. W. Hcald. R. B. Milne. • Drury.—Messrs.. Jas. Walker. J. R. Lowry. -^ Awhitu.—Messrs. W. G. rktfnilton, H. 0. Mellsop. Waipipi.—Mr. Claud Motion. Waiuku.—Mr. R. T. Reid. Mercer.—Messrs. Jas. Keith and J. Dean. Crs. J. S. Montgomerie (Mauku), W. H. Thomas (Drury), T. J. Lockwood (Hunua). and J. A. Short (Awhitu) are not seeking re-election. Wc understand that the keenest contest will be for the Mauku riding, where Patumahoe is for one candidate and Waiau Pa for the other. The Drury and Awhitu cdfctests arc both creating a interest, and ■should prove interesting fights.' It is probable that Crs.'W. Claud Motion. Hy. Wilcox and T. W. Woods will be returned unopposed* Nominations close on Moncnrp,- November 1. ,
