MEETING OF SUPPLIES. The meeting 'if cream sup]>lici called for Saturday la.it way t.rgely attended. Mr. Dynes Fulton (a director of the New Zealand Dairy Association), Mr. ,1. G. Ward (manager of the Pukekohe Hotter Factory) and Mr. Shaw were present, and gave the meeting a large amount of information on the present position of the industry and ils future prospects. Mr. Fulton dealt very lucidly with the negotiations being conducted for the sale of the season's output, and believed that \ery satisfactory arrangements could be made. Mr. Fulton referred briefly to the recent award granted the employees by the Arbitration Court, and stated his belief that direct negotiations with the employers would be in the best interests of the men. The question of the cartage of cream from the district to the Pukekohe factory was then gone into, and the position from the company's point of view was put by Mr. Ward. The general feeling of the meeting was in "favour of all suppliers using the contractor's waggon for delivering the cream, and a motion to the effect that the present arrangement be adhered to, was carried unanimously. Complimentaiy reference was marie to the work of the contractor, Mr. J. Hogan, in dealing with a supply largely in excess of anticipations.
