PUKEKOHE EAST.
LADIES' RETURN BALL. On Thursday evening last the ladies of Pukekohe East held tnonreturn ball in the Pukekohe East Hall, In spite of the unfavourable weather the hall was well filled, visiters coming from all the surrounding districts, and a most enjoyable time was spent. The hall was tastefully decorated-with .nikaus, pungas. and flowers, and the floor was in perfect ■y,\\w. The M.'sC, Mesdames W. and J. Reynolds and Misses Gold-re and Holstein, were untiring in their ed'orts to make e\erume have a good lime. \'o wallflower- wcro so ,, n lH \ nming the. walls al an\ time in the evening. Much credit i.- *\i\v to the lajlies of the committee for Ihe dainty supper sci ved, ~- most of the good things were made by them. Judging by (lie frc<[ucnl encores the music supplied by Mrs. Keane (piano) and Mr. G, Fitness (violin) was much appreciated.
