PUKEKOHE LAWN TENNIS CLUB.

ANNUAL MEETING. The annual general meeting of the Pukekohe Lawn Tennis Club was held in the Carnival Tearooms last evening, when, in the absence of the president, Dr. Campbell-Smith, Mr. J. W. Johns was voted to the chair. There were ten members present. The balance-'sheet, showing a credit balance of £8 0s Bd, was read and adopted on the motion of the chairman, seconded by Mr. H.i V. Middlemiss. 4* The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted:-President, Mr. J. W. Johns; vice-presidents, Mrs. Zinzan, Messrs. Bayly, W. P. Hopkins and W. G. Brosnahan. Mr. F. J. Brown tendered fcis resignation as secretary, which was accepted with regret. On the motion of Messrs. H. Middlemiss and J. Boyd he was accorded a hearty vote of thanks for past services. On the motion of Messrs. J. Brown and N. Stuart Mr. H. V. Middlemiss was elected secretary. Treasurer, Mr. W. Patterson; auditor, Mr. H. Bockett, re-elected. Mr. Bockett was accorded a vote of tanks for his services during the past season. Selection committee: Mrs. Bayly and Messrs. W. P. Hopkins and W. G. Brosnahan. Management committee: Mesdames Campbell-Smith, L. j Bayly, Misses Ivy Duncan and Linda Perkins, and Messrs. B. P. Hopkins, J. Boyd, J. Brown, S. J. Youlden, A. Nodwell and N. Stuart. The following subscriptions were lixed: Ladies 15s, gents Ms, vocation subscription 7s 6d, juniors under 17 years 10s, honorary members ss. It was decided to officially open the courts on October 23 at 2 p.m.. and invite surrounding clubs to attend. The following new members . were elected: Mrs. B. Hart, Misses K. Stuart, Nelsie Hawke, E. Perkins, B. Perkins, Messrs B. Hart, F. H. Hewitt, A. Fletcher, G. G. Grant, H. H. Tills, R. Perkins, W. G. Brosnahan, B. C. Carpenter, D. Syme, S. J. Youlden, N. L. Higginson, B. Gardes and N. Clews. . The following were appointed coaches: Mesdames Zinzan and Bayly, Messrs. Campbell-Smith, W. G. Brosnahan, B. P. Hopkins, J. W. Johns, A. Nodwell, H. V. Middlemiss, F. J. Brown, J. Boyd, E. Clarke, D. Syme, and A. Fletcher. A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting.
