COMMITTEE MEETING. At a meeting of the committee of the Pukekohe Bowling Club there wire present: Messrs J. Roulston (president), F. Brown, C. Lusher, R. Fitness, V. Perkins, 1). Roulston, J. Russell, who carried out the secretarial duties last year in a thqjGeughly efficient manner, requestbe relieved of the duties for thje year*, On the motion of the president, Mr. G. G. Littlejhon was ap|>pllH.ed secretary. 'An invitation was received from the St. Helier's Bay Club to attend the opening on Saturday, September 25. First Year Championship Medal. It was pointed out that dp to the present the winner of last year's first year players' championship had not J>een awarded. Cjji the motion of Messrs. Keith and Perkins the president and Mr. Lusher were appointed to look into the matter and report on at next meeting.

Tournament. It was unanimously decided to hold a two-day tournament on November 12 and 13. Labour Day Tourney. 11 was also agreed to hold the usual all-day tournament on Labour Day. President's Fours. It was resolved to call for nominations for the president's fours competition, and that .the match committee arrange the teams teams to remain the same throughout the tournament. Nominations doso on the Saturday after the opening day. Mr. Frank PeVkins offered to provide a trophy for competition by all members not playing in the president's fours, on any playing Saturday of the fours competition- the same to commence and finish on the same dates as the fours, to be won by the player securing the greatest number of wins irrespective of his position in the ri*.< Mr Perkins was heartily thanked for his offer, which was accepted.
