LETTERS TO THE EDITOR.
FIRE BRIGADE ROLL OF HONOUR. Sir, As one who has always taken more than a passing interest in the r ire Brigade attached to any towrMßl which I have resided, I would be obliged if you would kindly graWt me space to draw your numerous readers' attention to the picture entertainment to be given on Wednesday evening next at the Premier Hall, the proceeds, of which are for the purpose of providing <i roll of hontfCto perpetuate the memory of thos Jfcmbers of the local brigade whtKbok part in the Great War. When one considers that twentytour men went, o.f which five were killed at the front and one died after coining home, a total of six, and that the normal strength of the brigade is only twelve, surely it is something that not only the brigade themselves should be proud of, but the residents of Pukekohe also; and one feels sure that these facts only waniifir be known, and they (the brigade) may rest assured of a "bumper" house. The tickets are 2s each, and are to be obtained from almost anywhere. >"W, HURLE.
