YOUNG WOMAN FOUND DEAD.
BODY HANGING IN OUTHOUSE. A FORMER PUKEKOHE GIRL. , The body of a young woman, Ms. Ruth Crowe, wife of Mr. J. M. Crowe, packer, was found hanging in an outhouse of her residence, <y, Old Mil! Road, Grey Lynn, Auckland, shortly after noon on Sunday. Assistance was at oneo obtained by the deceased's sister-in-law. Miss Rene Crowe, and the body was cut down, but life was found to be extinct. The circumstances are of an unusually sad nature. Both the deceased and her husband hail been suffering ,I'roni influenza, the former for about a fortnight. Mrs. Crowe appeared to be recovering, and on Sunday was able to get out of bed. She was at tht> bedside of her husband. who was in a critical state, until noon, and went outside a little later. Shortly afterwards her body was discovered In her sister-in-law.
'Mr. Crowe was on Sunday conveyed to the hospital in a serious condition. % The late Mrs. Crowe was well known in Pukekohe, and was a daughter of Mrs. McNally of the Pukekohe Hill. She was formerly employed by Mr. VV. Roulston in his business in King Sfreet (acquired by the Farmers' Union Trading Company), and was held in high esteem by all with whom she came in contact Quite a gloom was cast over the whole district when intimation had been received of the tragedy. Deceased left the employ of Mr. Roulston about lis months ago to be married.
