PUKEKOHE COURTHOUSE

BRICK BUILDING PROMISED.

Readers of this paper will recollect that at the last meeting of the Pukekohe Chamber of Commerce it was resolved to ask local J.P's to write to the Minister for Justice (Hon. E. P. Lee) urging upon him the great desirability of erecting the new Courthouse at Pukekohe in brick or concrete, and not in wood as previously decided upon by the. Department. The president of the Chamber of Commerce (Mr. R. F. Webster), who is also District Coroner and J.P., has now received a reply from the Minister to the effect that orders have now been given for the construction of a new Courthouse in brick.
